Before you register
The online course can satisfy your requirement for a second certificate if you have already filed bankruptcy.
You must have a case number to receive this certificate. Do not register for this course if you need a pre-filing credit counseling session. For that, please click on Counseling 1st Certificate on the navigation bar above left.
The Mesquite Group Online Class is available 24 hours a day and only takes 2 hours to complete. You will need a high speed Internet connection (dial up will not work) and your computer must support Macromedia Flash version 10 or later and be able to play MP3 files.
The course must be completed on a computer, it will not work properly on a mobile device. The course is supported in Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer on PC's. Other web browsers are not guaranteed to support the course. It is highly recommended that before you begin the course you ensure that you have 2 hours to work on it. If you leave the course and try to return later to complete it, you may have to start the ENTIRE course over again.
You must start and complete the course on the exact SAME COMPUTER.

You may be entitled to have the fee waived for the cost of this course if your income is at or below the poverty level guidelines as stated in the federal HHS poverty guidelines for 2010. Please call our office at (877) 769-4069 to discuss the guidelines with one of our administrators and determine if you qualify.

Fee Waiver
If you believe you may be entitled to have the fee waived for the cost of this course please call our office at (877) 769-4069 to discuss the guidelines with one of our Administrators and determine if you qualify.
When and how certificates are issued
Certificates are issued during business hours (8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. CST M - TH, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. F - Sat). Our policy is to issue certificates no later than the next business morning after the course is completed (by 12:00 noon CST).
Online courses completed after business hours on Saturday, (6:00 p.m. CST) or Sunday, will be issued the following Monday morning (by 12:00 noon CST).
Certificates will be emailed to you using the email address you provide when you register for the course, unless you provide us with additional instructions to do otherwise.
Any delay in receiving a certificate caused by submitting incorrect contact information will not be the fault of The Mesquite Group and will not trigger a refund.
Expedited Certificates
If you’re under a deadline i.e., you must have your certificate the same day you complete the course, call our HOT LINE 877-769-4069 after registering and make arrangements with one of our staff. If you do not communicate with our office after registering and taking the course online, we cannot guarantee you will receive your certificate the same day you complete the course.
Attorney Information
If you are represented by an attorney and you would like your certificate sent directly to your attorney you must enter at least one of the following:
1. The attorney code, given to you by your attorney, or
2. Your attorney’s name and telephone number.Note: Failure to provide correct contact information for yourself or your attorney will delay the issuance of your certificate.
U.S. Trustee website
Any delay caused by inability to access the U.S. Trustee certificate website will not be the fault of The Mesquite Group and will not trigger a refund. A delay caused by the U.S. Trustee website will be noted by the court requiring your certificate.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
You have 45 days from the day of registration to finish your session or course. If you do not finish within that time your enrollment will expire. Your registration is then cancelled and you forfeit your registration fee. If you wish to complete the session or course after that time you must register again and pay a new registration fee.
If you begin the counseling or education process, but do not complete it for any reason, you may be issued a full refund as long as no certificate has been issued and it is within 45 days of your registration.
Once a certificate has been issued to you and/or your attorney, no refund will be given.
The Mesquite Gruop does not pay nor does it receive fees or other consideration for the referral of students to its classes.
